I was born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, where I attended the University of Pennsylvania for my undergraduate degree and Arcadia University for my graduate work. I moved to Katy, Texas in 2007 with my 2 children, our dog and our cat. In 2007, I  began teaching elementary school. After several years,  I was given a unique opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom and, with gratitude, I took that time to devote myself to raising my children. 

     I believe firmly that children need structure, safety, empathy and kindness in order to grow and learn. Their teacher must understand not just how they learn, but what each child needs, in addition to their academics, in order to thrive. I believe in teaching the whole child, the social, emotional and academic components of school all interlock to help create intelligent, thoughtful, compassionate citizens.
