Mrs. BookThis is my tenth year teaching Special Education and my sixth year as a middle school English and Language Arts teacher.  I also provide in class support for Social Studies.  I previously taught for seven years in  General Education, grades 1-4^th in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jacksonville and Tyler, Texas.  I received my Bachelor’s in Journalism from Southern Methodist University and worked as a reporter in Lufkin, Texas.  During that time, I realized that I wanted to follow in my mother’s footsteps and become a teacher.  I completed my Education schooling at The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and went on to earn my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. I enjoy spending time with my husband, two boys, age 20 and 21, and two dogs when I am not working.  I love working with children and look forward to another great year at Hodges Bend Middle School.
