Viet Ly is a rising senior at Kempner High School. He is an active volunteer who has helped four major clubs including the US’s largest exchange club and both Science National Honor Society and Rho Kappa. Outside of school, he is an avid provider for the community with multiple flag ceremonies celebrating Vietnamese heritage, park cleanups, and fundraising events under his belt. Alongside this, Viet actively challenges himself through an extensive ten-year Vietnamese schooling program and multiple physical challenges including rock climbing, backpacking, and kayaking. Through his time in the Capstone program, Viet has developed meaningful problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ultimately, these skills have created numerous new opportunities for both scholarships and internships. Viet plans to attend either the University of Houston or UT Austin while pursuing accounting or finance.
