Madeline Li is a graduating senior at Kempner High School. She has served as Kempner Cougar Brigade’s junior lieutenant and captain, president of Best Buddies, historian of soles4souls, and is a member of multiple honor societies. Madeline has also received scholarships from top universities such as The University of Miami, Baylor University, and more. Outside of school, Madeline is a dance assistant for her coach and mentor, Melissa Robinson, while also becoming a dance staff assistant for Ascension Dance. Alongside this, she works closely with her manager — Robert Blume — to book acting gigs where she landed a principal role in a Freddy’s commercial. Through her time in the Capstone program, she effectively used her communication and collaboration skills to indulge in college-level research while applying her knowledge to study the self-perceptions of Oscar-winning Asian-American actors throughout the Hollywood film industry. After high school, Madeline plans to attend The University of Texas at Austin to major in broadcast journalism in hopes of becoming a news anchor, while also pursuing freelance dance choreography and acting on the side.
