As the saying goes, “I wasn’t born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could!”  In fact, I could say the same thing about Fort Bend ISD.  I am a proud alumnus of Lantern Lane Elementary, Quail Valley Middle School and Dulles High School. This year marks my 27th year in education, 14th year as a high school teacher and 42nd year in the Missouri City area.  I have taught at the elementary, high school and college levels and have degrees in Journalism, Secondary Education and Curriculum and Instruction (University of Houston and Houston Baptist University).  I live in Missouri City with my family and four hairy, four-legged children. I retired from teaching in 2021 as the English department head, but came back last year to help the campus I love.

I love being a teacher and am most passionate about helping develop critical thinkers, good writers and exceptional people.
