Steer Into 7th Grade Science with Ms. Kim Martin

Hello and welcome! I’m Ms. Kim Martin, and I’m thrilled to have you join me as we steer into a new year full of exploration, discovery, and scientific adventure with my amazing Young Scientists!

With 29 years of experience in education, I am certified in grades 1-8 with a specialization in Biology, with a degree in Biology from Fisk University. I bring a deep love for science and a passion for teaching into every lesson. I am firm but fair.  In my classroom, students are not just learners; they are explorers, thinkers, problem-solvers, and scientists.

This year, we’ll dive into exciting topics like Chemistry, Ecology, Energy, Body systems and Forces through hands-on labs, engaging activities, and meaningful discussions. My goal is to create a space where students feel encouraged to ask questions, try new things, and grow in confidence and curiosity.

In my classroom, effort matters. We learn from mistakes, support one another, and always give our best because that’s where true learning begins.
