Welcome to the HBMS PTO!
We are parents, teachers, and community members working together to support our students and school. Through events, fundraisers, and volunteer opportunities, we help create an engaging and enriching environment for every child. Together, we make a difference!
-
A Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) plays a flexible role based on what the school community needs most. Some years, the focus may be on fundraising for classroom supplies, field trips, or new technology. Other times, the emphasis might be on creating fun family events, supporting teachers, or providing enrichment opportunities for students.
Ways a PTO can support schools include:
-
Hosting fundraisers like book fairs, fun runs, or restaurant spirit nights
-
Planning family-friendly events such as carnivals, movie nights, or STEM activities
-
Offering teacher mini-grants for classroom resources
-
Coordinating volunteers for field trips, school assemblies, or special programs
-
Enhancing the school experience through activities like art projects, robotics, or coding clubs
Because PTOs are independent, they can respond quickly to changing needs—whether that’s wellness programs, enrichment opportunities, or building a stronger sense of community.
At the heart of everything, the PTO’s mission is simple: to create a supportive and thriving school environment for students, families, and teachers.
