PALS (Peer Assistance and Leadership)

Purpose:
PALS (Peer Assistance and Leadership) is a national organization that sponsors a leadership and mentoring program. PAL is a Texas Education Agency approved course (as well as a club/organization).Peer Assistance and Leadership, is a program for juniors and seniors that demonstrate leadership abilities, and focuses on building areas in active listening , and communication skills. Any student wishing to become a PAL during the next school year of 2019-2020, must apply and undergo a interviewing process in the Spring of 2019.
Once a student is accepted into the PAL program, they must participate in training exercises that promotes team building and mentoring skills. All PALs will serve as a mentor for our feeder pattern schools including: E.A. Jones Elementary, Lantern Lane Elementary, Glover Elementary, Hunters Glen Elementary and Armstrong Elementary.Requirements:
An elective for juniors and seniors at Marshall High School. An application must be completed and an interview will be conducted during the spring semester of your sophomore or junior year. A selection committee will help choose PALS students for MHS.***Applications for the 2018-2019 school year are now CLOSED.
