Hello! My name is Corey Kerr, and I’m proud to be entering my 9th year teaching Theatre at Hodges Bend Middle School and my 16th year in education overall.
As a product of Fort Bend ISD, I attended Palmer Elementary, Lake Olympia Middle School, Quail Valley Middle School, and graduated from Elkins High School. I began my college journey studying Theatre Education at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, later transferring to Stephen F. Austin State University, where I completed my schooling with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts and Education. While at SFA, I had the incredible opportunity to study Irish Theatre at Trinity University in Ireland.

Before returning to FBISD, I taught Theatre at Hastings High School in Alief ISD. Now, I’m grateful to be back home, sharing my passion for theatre with the next generation. I love teaching and especially enjoy witnessing those “aha!” moments when students connect with the art and each other.
