• Honor Orchestra

     

    The Dulles Middle School Orchestra program serves over 180 students in grades 6–8 and is dedicated to fostering musical excellence, leadership, and a lifelong appreciation for the musical arts. The Dulles Middle School orchestra has consistently earned Sweepstakes ratings at UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Evaluations. The program has been recognized nationally and internationally, winning awards throughout the years at many festivals and competitions. The program was recognized at The Midwest Clinic International Band and Orchestra Concerts in 2000, 2009, and 2016. The Dulles Middle School Symphony was also invited to perform at TMEA in 2022.

    Recent achievements include Runner-Up in the 2024-2025 TMEA Honor Full Orchestra Competition, and Second Runner - Up in the 2025-2026 TMEA Honor Full Orchestra Competition. The Dulles Middle School Symphony was recognized as a Commended Winner in the 2025 Mark of Excellence Awards, and is the TMEA Middle School Full Honor Orchestra Winner for 2027.

     

    Beyond the classroom, the orchestra is dedicated to community service, presenting an annual holiday performance each December for patients at the Texas Children's Hospital. Through high-quality performances, student achievement, and meaningful community engagement, the program continues to have a legacy to inspire young musicians and enrich the community through music.
