Hello!

My name is Orlandria Lawson and I have been teaching since 2021. I graduated from the University of Houston in May 2021 with a Bachelors of Science in Teaching and Learning. I will be teaching 7th and 8th grade Resource ELA. 

Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, I have been in Texas for 10 years and I have been in Houston for 4 years! I am so excited to be able to teach at Dulles Middle School and be part of the Viking Family! Teaching is such an exciting job as you never know what the day will bring. I specifically chose middle school because they are high energy and are in a transitional period where they are finding their voices and place within our society. I want to be a support system for students to learn how to advocate for themselves, take learning into their own hands, and be functioning members of society.

I have an adopted basset hound mix named Ginger and a very supportive husband who is a former Air Force plane mechanic!
