B.S. Psychology Minor in Human Development & Family Studies

Mr. Khanh Trinh

Hey Vikings!

I'm thrilled to begin my journey at our school, teaching 8th grade math and Algebra I. I'm excited to be working with some of the brightest young minds in Fort Bend ISD!

I'm a proud Houston native, and the city's diversity has greatly shaped my outlook on life and teaching. I graduated from the University of Houston, where I studied adolescent psychology and human development and family studies. These fields have given me insights into the unique experiences and challenges each student faces.

Before joining the world of teaching, I served in the U.S. Army, an experience that taught me the importance of discipline, teamwork, and resilience. I then had the opportunity to teach in both Houston and Pasadena ISD, working with students in 7th, 8th, and Algebra I. These experiences have equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the different stages of middle school math education.

In my classroom, we'll focus on the 'growth mindset'. I believe that every student can improve and reach their potential, regardless of their starting point. I aim to build a strong math foundation for students, setting them up for success in high school and beyond.

One of the cornerstones of my teaching philosophy is empathy. Each student brings their unique experiences and perspectives to the classroom, and I value and respect them all. Understanding and supporting each other will be key to our collective growth and success.

I'm eagerly looking forward to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment, helping each student reach their fullest potential, and having some fun along the way.

Here's to an incredible year together!
