B.S. Psychology Minor in Human Development & Family Studies Certified Teacher in Mathematics 4–8 (115)

Mr. Trinh, Khanh

Hey Vikings!

As a seasoned educator, I'm excited to embark on another year of teaching 8th grade math and Algebra I at our amazing school! It's a privilege to work with such talented and enthusiastic students here in Fort Bend ISD. I'm looking forward to an incredible journey together, filled with discovery, growth, and lots of math fun!

I'm a proud Houston native, and the city's diversity has greatly shaped my outlook on life and teaching. I graduated from the University of Houston, where I studied adolescent psychology and human development and family studies. These fields have given me insights into the unique experiences and challenges each student faces.

Before joining the world of teaching, I served in the U.S. Army, an experience that taught me the importance of discipline, teamwork, and resilience. I then had the opportunity to teach in both Houston and Pasadena ISD, working with students in 7th, 8th, and Algebra I. These experiences have equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the different stages of middle school math education.

In my classroom, we'll focus on the 'growth mindset.' I believe that every student can improve and reach their potential, regardless of their starting point. My goal is to prepare students for the challenges of high school, building a strong math foundation that sets them up for long-term success.

One of the cornerstones of my teaching philosophy is empathy. Each student brings their unique experiences and perspectives to the classroom, and I value and respect them all. Understanding and supporting each other will be key to our collective growth and success.

I'm eagerly looking forward to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment, helping each student reach their fullest potential, and having some fun along the way.

Here's to an incredible year together!
