Welcome to 8th Grade ELA! My name is Mrs. Jessica Isbell. This is my 6th year teaching at Sugar Land Middle School, and my 9th in the district. I am happily married to Coach John Isbell, FBISD district dive coach and Assistant Aquatic Director. John and I have two gorgeous little girls, Catherine (14) and Clara (8). I have a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and a Minor in Theology from The University of St. Thomas. I am currently working on my MLIS from Texas Woman's University, and I aspire to be a librarian. In 2017, I was blessed with the honor of being SLMS' Teacher of the Year, which I try to live up to every day.  In my spare time, I enjoy crafting, playing around outside with my kiddos, gardening, and cooking.
