Mrs. Dees is in her 4th year of teaching and is the choir director at Sugar Land Middle School. Her students consistently receive 1's at Solo and Ensemble and many singers in the SLMS Choir Program are members of the TMEA Middle School Region 13 Choir every year. Mrs. Dees graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Music Education where she was a member of the Moores School of Music Concert Chorale. While at the University of Houston, Dees performed with the Concert Chorale at the Bela Bartok International Choral Competition in Debrecen Hungary, the European Grand Prix in Arezzo, Italy, and in Washington D.C. at the Kennedy Center. Dees remains an active performer and pianist, and she regularly accompanies choir concerts and Region Clinics across the district. Dees is married to her wonderful husband, Jared, who is also a choir director in FBISD, and they have two adorable cats named Pepper and Pumpkin.
