Hello! I'm Mrs. Payne and I'm in my 13th year at Sugar Land Middle School as the Director of Bands and Woodwind Specialist. Before coming to SLMS, I attended Texas State University where I earned a Bachelors Degree in Music Education. I conduct the Honors Band, co-conduct the Concert Band and, as the Woodwind Specialist, teach the beginning clarinet, flute and saxophone classes. 

When I'm not doing band things, I'm either going on fun adventures with my daughter, Isla (4) and son, Beni (2), watching baseball with my family (go Astros!), or I'm out running! I'm also a fan of coffee, Harry Potter, cooking and camping!
