Welcome to Our 3rd Grade Adventure!

Hi there! I'm so excited to be your child's 3rd grade teacher this year! Get ready for a fantastic year filled with learning, laughter, and lots of fun.

I’ve been teaching for 12 years and absolutely love being a part of the Colony Meadows Elementary family. This is my third year here, and I can honestly say it feels like home. I'm passionate about helping kids discover the joy of reading and can't wait to share my love of books with your child.

A little about me: I was born and raised in New Orleans and have a deep love for the city. I earned my bachelor's degree in History from Louisiana State University, with minors in African American studies and political science. After falling in love with teaching, I went on to get my master's in Educational Technology and am currently working on my Masters in Human Resource Management. I'm certified EC-6, English as a Second Language, and GT trained

When I'm not in the classroom, you can find me spending time with my amazing husband, our soon-to-be 22-year-old bonus son, and our two rescue dogs. I love to read, travel, watch sports, and hang out with friends and family.
