Professional School Counselors are available at Colony Meadows Elementary School to provide a Comprehensive Developmental Guidance Program and services for all students in the areas of:
- Guidance Curriculum - In an effort to help students develop competence in essential life skills
- Responsive Services - Provide intervention for immediate personal/social/emotional concerns
- Individual Planning - Provide guidance to help students plan, monitor, and manage their personal, educational and career goals, and facilitate transition activities for post-secondary education and/or training
- System Support - Support campus staff, parents, and community to promote the educational, career, personal, and social development of students, as well as the Developmental Guidance Program
Counseling Programs available at Colony Meadows ElementaryNew Cubs on the Block: This is a welcome reception for new students to our campus. Students are invited to a welcome breakfast the first Wednesday of the month after they enroll.New Cubs Student Ambassadors: These students in grades 1st-5th grades serve as a welcome committee to new students on the campus. Student Ambassadors are expected to meet the first Wednesday of every month at 7:30 A.M. to welcome new students and tell them about our campus.Character Club: This is a club for students in 4th and 5th grade who are willing to commit to meeting once a month during recess to help make posters for our monthly character trait and willing to decorate the hallways with these posters.Peer Mediation: Students in 5th grade are selected and trained as peer mediators. Peer mediation sessions are available as requested during 5th grade recess.Clements PALS: High School Students enrolled in the PALS program serve as mentors to our elementary students. In order to receive a PAL students must be referred by a parent or teacher.
