Welcome Drabek Dragons! My name is Mrs. Velez, and I am the Literacy Intervention Teacher here at Drabek Elementary. I have a passion for literacy and I will be providing literacy support to students and teachers in kindergarten to 5th grade. Throughout my career in education, I have worked in special education, provided professional development/instructional coaching (K-5) and have taught first and second grade. 

I love my career as en educator and my purpose is to be a servant leader alongside students, families, community and staff!

When I am not at work, I love camping, my fur babies, and spend lots of time with my husband, two daughters, and grandchildren.
