Welcome to Rita Drabek Elementary, home of the Dragons! Rita Drabek Elementary School opened August 2001. The school is named in honor of Mrs. Rita Drabek, a long-time Fort Bend educator, principal, and retired school board member.

School Hours

The Front Office is open from 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

School hours for PreK-5th grade are 8:05 a.m. - 3:25 p.m.     

It is good practice to have students dropped off before 8:00 am, since students not in their homeroom before 8:05 AM are tardy.

The official attendance-taking time for Rita Drabek Elementary School is 10:00 a.m. each school day.

Students not in class at 10:00 a.m. will be marked absent. 

Absence Verification

When your child is absent, please email AttendanceRDE@fortbendisd.gov Remember to send a note or email with the reason for the absence when your child is absent from school for any reason. The absence will be counted as “unexcused” if a note is not received within five days of the absence.
