Welcome to a new school year! Welcome back we are going to have a fantastic year full of learning and laughter. I am the CTE Business and Finances teacher for Hodges Bend Middle School teaching 7th and 8th grade students. This is my first year to teaching and I am excited to see each of my students everyday. I am a graduate of Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a Bachelors in Workforce Education and Development. 

I am also a boys foootball coach and girlsbasketball coach. With every student athlete I tell them that the education comes first and athletics is second. With the student/athletes being seen as leaders of the school I encourage them to always be on their best behaviors. 

In the first semester the students will partici[ate in Touch Data Systems (which is a high school credited course .5 credits). The students will learn about communication in the work place, how to become a better typer and a few other technological applications. In the second sememster students will participate in Dollars and Cents (which is also a high school credit course .5 credits). In that course we will talk mainly about finances and money. Students will learn lots of life lessons.
