Welcome! I’m excited to share a bit about my journey in education and my passion for teaching. With over 20 years of experience in the classroom, I’ve dedicated my career to inspiring students and fostering a love for learning.

I began my academic journey at Hampton University, where I played basketball from 1998 to 2000. This experience not only enhanced my teamwork and leadership skills but also fueled my passion for sports and education. I later graduated from Southern University in Fall 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, specializing in Social Studies.

Continuing my education, I earned a Master’s degree in Sport Administration from the University of Miami, which further deepened my understanding of the intersection between education and athletics.

Since joining Willowridge High School in 2017, I’ve had the privilege of teaching U.S. Government and coaching JV Volleyball. I am committed to creating an engaging learning environment where students are challenged to think critically, connect history to their lives, and grow as active, informed citizens.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy staying active and supporting my students in their academic and extracurricular pursuits. I’m looking forward to another great year at Willowridge!
