Welcome to Dance!

My name is Miranda Richter and I am the founding director of the Ridge Point Royals Dance Team.  I have been teaching since 2005 and started at Ridge Point in 2011, year 2 of the school's history. As an alumni of Fort Bend ISD, I'm proud to give back to my community. I am 2001 a graduate of Elkins High School and was a member of the Elite Dance Team, serving as captain my senior year. I earned a B.A. in Speech Communications with a minor in Dance from Texas A&M University. I taught at Pearland ISD and Dulles High School where I was an Assistant Director for the Dolls Dance Team and a speech/dance teacher. Currently, I serve as the Fine Arts Department Chair and FBISD Dance Facilitator at Ridge Point. I'm an active member of TDEA'S DEAL Committee, where I serve as Choreographer and Adjudicator. 

My passion for dance is only matched by my love for teaching the arts. I take great pride in mentoring and nurturing young women and men on a daily basis. My teaching philosophy emphasizes the value of hard work and personal responsibility and it brings me great joy to fulfill my life's purpose with Ridge Point students.

I live in my childhood home with my college sweetheart and husband and our young daughter. We take great pride in volunteering in and around our community and decorating our home for all the holidays.
