Welcome! My name is Ms. Hodge, and I’m thrilled to welcome you to my classroom community.

I began my teaching journey in 2023, and it has been one of the most rewarding paths I’ve ever taken. While my career in education is still fresh, my passion for teaching runs deep. There's something incredibly fulfilling about helping students build confidence in their problem-solving abilities and watching them discover that math can actually be fun and empowering. I have three fur babies: Maxx, Roxi, and Bismuth. My hobbies include binge-watching sci-fi movies and true-crime documentaries. My favorite color is yellow, and I am a huge Taylor Swift fan. 

Originally from Louisiana, I’ve been proud to call Texas home for the past five years. I earned my degree from the University of Houston–Clear Lake, where I'm currently pursuing my master’s in Instructional Design. My teaching philosophy centers around three key values: connection, curiosity, and confidence. I believe that all students can thrive when they feel seen, supported, and challenged in a positive way. I strive to create a learning environment where mistakes are viewed as part of the process, where questions are always welcome, and where every student feels encouraged to reach their full potential.

Teaching is not just my job, it’s my calling. Each year, I am inspired by the unique energy my students bring to the classroom, and I feel honored to play a role in your academic journey. I’m so excited to continue growing with you all, and I look forward to a successful year full of discovery, growth, and a whole lot of math!
