Hello my name is Theresa Maresca and I am excited to be the librarian at Sienna Crossing! This is my fourth year at Sienna Crossing and I look forward to supporting you, our community, and encouraging students to be life-long learners! Prior to becoming a librarian, I taught 4th grade for ten years and this is my twelfth year with Fort Bend ISD.
I'm originally from a small town in Indiana, the Hoosier state. In 2018, I completed the School of Library and Information Studies master's degree program at Texas Woman's University. In 2006, I lived in Connecticut where I graduated from Bridgeport University with a Master's Degree is in Elementary Education. I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in 2005 from Post University. I had a wonderful experience as a resident intern for 5th and 6th grade students at Hopbrook Intermediate School in Naugatuck, CT. Over the past 21 years, I've worked with children in all grades K-6 as an intern, student teacher, volunteer, paraprofessional, and reading specialist and I am very passionate about my commitment to helping children be successful while making learning fun in the process. My favorite pasttime is exercising and I love to travel. My husband, Chris, and I have a beautiful 11 year old daughter moving onto middle school in the Quail Valley GT program. We just celebrated our 18th year of marriage this summer and I feel truly blessed to have his continued support!
I'm looking forward to another fantastic year with you and your kiddos!
