Fort Bend ISD to host February 13 Bus Driver Hiring Event

Fort Bend ISD will host a February 13 bus driver hiring event for individuals who are interested in joining the district’s transportation team to help students travel safely toward bright futures.

The hiring event will take place at Fort Bend ISD’s Hodges Bend Terminal (16707 Bissonnet, Houston, 77088) from 9 – 11 a.m., and registration is now open for applicants interested in employment as a bus driver or bus driver trainee. Candidates are asked to register and come to the event prepared for on-the-spot interviews.

About the positions

FBISD offers bus drivers a starting pay of $20.41 an hour, while bus driver trainees start at $15.71 an hour. Full-time drivers are eligible for benefits and retirement packages, and work schedules include evenings, weekends, and holidays off. Fort Bend ISD also offers paid training while individuals obtain their Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
