I was born Amarillo, TX and raised in McAllen, TX where I graduated from McAllen (McHi) High School. I was offered a basketball scholarship to attend University of Texas Pan American.  I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Texas Pan American in Edinburg, Texas. My parents were in education so I had great mentors.

I taught high school P.E. and coached volleyball and basketball at La Joya High School. Then I met my husband and started in retail with Target as an Assistant Manager for 12 years. I made a decision to go back to education to have more time with my family. Teaching is rewarding in many ways!

I am married to a FBISD teacher, and have two children that attended right here in FBISD!
