Mrs. Farzeen Mehta

My name is Farzeen Mehta. This will be my eighth year teaching at SWE, but I will be starting my 19th year of teaching. I am eager to foster the love of learning and reading in your child. First Grade is full of fun and lots of learning and I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us.

A little about me: I am a graduate from University of Houston where I got my Bachelors in Education. I started out teaching Pre-K at Houston ISD, taught kindergarten and worked my way to First Grade. I am ESL and GT certified. I live in Sugar Land with my husband and my daughter, who is in 6th grade. When I am not teaching, I love to shop, dine out, read, and spend time with my family and friends.

 I am looking forward to a great year and to being your child’s First Grade teacher at Settlers Way Elementary!
