My name is Ana Rojas, I am from Colombia but moved to the U.S. 30 years ago because of my husband’s job, and made this country my second home. I have been married for more than 30 years, and have two beautiful daughters, both FBISD students. The oldest graduated from UT Austin four years ago and is working in Portland; my youngest will be a junior at UT Austin this fall. I have been working with FBISD for the past 20 years. Worked at Kempner High School for 5 years and my last two at Fort settlement Middle school. This will be my second year at DHS. I am very excited to start a new year at this GREAT school and been part of this community.
I have a bachelor in business Administrattiion from UPTC University in Colombia, and a master in school counseling from the University of Houston. I have a teacher certification in Bilingual, ESL, Spanish, and Gifted and Talented education.
I love to teach Spanish, and hope to inspire my students to want and enjoy learning it. Speaking a second language and for many their third, will be a tool they can use in any career they chose in life, and also to see the world in a different perspective.
I am very happy to teach your kids Spanish at Dulles High School this year. !Bienvenidos a mi clase!
