This is Ebony Black’s sixth year at Christa McAuliffe, she is also a Fort Bend ISD alumni. Ms. Black began her journey as a thespian after her own days as a student, in the second graduating class of Christa McAuliffe. She has traveled the country to quench her thirst for all things theatre and has experienced the heartbeat of Broadway itself and just as notable OFF Broadway productions, in New York City.
Ms. Black began leading the theatre community at Christa McAuliffe (CMMS) in 2015, returning home to passionately share her knowledge and love of theatre. Through participation in class, competitions and productions, students build confidence and self-esteem as they see themselves and the world through theatre. She is grateful for the opportunity to work with students and daily witness their growth through performances. She inducted CMMS first chapter of the Junior Thespian Troupe and currently serves as its director.
She holds a M.A. from Texas Tech and a Bachelors of Arts from Texas Southern University.
