Hi, my name is Takeia Broaden and I looking forward to an exciting year of learning. I have over 16 years of experience working with students who learn differently. If your student attended MCMS last year or within the last 10 years you may remember my previous role as the ARD Facilitator.

I graduated from Prairie View A&M University in 1995 with a bachelor’s in social work and continued to pursue my master’s in business administration.  I hold a teaching certificate in the areas of K-12 Special Education and Generalist 4-8.  When I’m not teaching, I love cooking, traveling, and hanging with my friends.

I look forward to getting to know all your students this school year. Though middle school can be a stressful time for many students and families, I want to assure you that I will work to foster a welcoming community for your students. I take great care to emphasize kindness and inclusion while teaching middle school students.
