Welcome to my classroom! My name is Brianna Sidney, and I am thrilled to be your child's first grade teacher this year. From a young age, I knew I wanted to work with children and make a positive impact on the world, thanks to the inspiration I received from my elementary school teachers.

I am a self-contained first grade teacher, meaning I have the privilege of teaching all subjects to my students. This is my 8th year teaching, and I still find immense joy and fulfillment in this profession. My teaching philosophy centers around meeting students where they are and helping them grow to their highest potential. I believe that every child is unique and capable of achieving great things with the right support and encouragement.

One of the most rewarding aspects of teaching for me is witnessing the "aha" moments when a concept finally clicks for a student. These moments remind me of the incredible potential within each child and reinforce why I chose this career.

I am a proud graduate of Prairie View A&M University, where I earned my two degrees. My education has provided me with a strong foundation and the tools needed to support and inspire my students effectively.

Outside of the classroom, I cherish spending time with my children, family, and friends. I am also an avid reader and love diving into a good book whenever I get the chance.

I strongly believe in the power of community and parental involvement in education. I actively seek support in various ways to enhance our classroom experience and create a nurturing environment for my students.

One of my favorite quotes is from B.B. King: "The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you." This quote embodies my commitment to fostering a lifelong love of learning in my students.
