Hello, my name is Kimberly Gill. I am originally from Springfield, Illinois but have lived in Houston since I was a teenager.  I have been teaching for 30 years in FBISD and have taught at Burton for 23 of those years. I truly enjoy teaching second grade. My goal is to help students become independent readers and writers who develop into lifelong learners. I earned a Masters of Curriculum and Instruction Degree and a Masters of Educational Leadership degree from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona.  I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. When I am not working, I enjoy reading, traveling and spending time with my husband and our two sons who are both in college.
