Hello, my name is Kareen Stephens. I started my teaching career as a substitute teacher with Aldine ISD, Sheldon ISD, and then with FBISD. I've been with FBISD for over 6 years and a teacher here at Burton for over 5 years. Prior to this year, i've taught 5th and 3rd grade and i'm extremely excited to now be teaching Math and Science in 2nd grade. I'am originally from Georgetown Guyana but grew up here in Houston, Alief to be exact. I believe that education is definitely key and I look forward to glowing and growing with my students.

In my spare time I can be a bit of a busy body and social butterfly. I LOVE to travel, and tropical vacations are my absolute favorite. I love fine dining, listening to music, watching t.v., decorating, taking pictures and hosting. I'm very family orientated and enjoy spending time and making memories with my husband of 8 years and both of our extended families and friends.
