Hello, my name is Ashley Canty. I am so honored to be teaching 4th grade Reading, Writing, and Social Studies this year. Prior to this year, I taught 2nd grade for four years and 3rd grade for two years. I am from Houston, Texas and I graduated from Hightower High School. I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Southern University. GO TIGERS!!! Teaching is my passion! I enjoy making learning fun for my students and building a community of learners within the classroom. 

In my personal time I enjoy watching movies, playing games, snacking, doing DIY projects at home, and spending time with my family. I cannot wait to watch your child blossom this year and help them to reach all of their academic goals!!
