Mrs. Renee' S. Malveaux

Hello Shark Family ,

My name is Renee’ Malveaux  and I am the dyslexia teacher at Jan Schiff Elementary.  I am entering my 16th year in education and 12th year as the dyslexia teacher in Fort Bend ISD.   While in the classroom, I taught Kindergarten and 3rd grade. I am an only child from the state of Mississippi. I graduated high school and received a basketball scholarship to Mississippi Valley State University where I majored in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting.  I knew from the beginning that I wanted to be an educator but was advised to select a different field of study.

I moved to Houston, Texas in 2002 and met my husband.  I have been married for 12 years and I have two boys Xavier (9) and Connor (7).  I enjoy playing sports with my boys and watching television.  My favorite genre, if I had to choose, would be informational text.  I love reading interesting facts on various topics while extending my vocabulary.

Due to COVID, this year will contain many unknowns for all that make up our learning community.  I am optimistic that we will navigate this “new normal” with ease   while still celebrating the success of our students.  I have been blessed to work with some awesome students and we have had great success as well as amazing growth.  I am excited about this year.  I love a good challenge!
