Welcome to Music Class at JSE!

My name is Aura Trevino, and I am your new music teacher.  In music class, we will have fun singing and playing music and learning about composers and genres. I cannot wait to see you!

A little about me...

I grew up in Venezuela; I studied music there through EL SISTEMA-Venezuela and toured with Symphony Orchestras all around the world.

I studied at The Royal Academy of Music (London-UK), obtained a master’s degree in Bassoon Performance from the University of Miami (FL), and attended Doctoral Studies at Boston University (MA).

I have taught music at the college level, as well as at the secondary and elementary levels.  I also freelance playing bassoon and have a bassoon studio where I work with young bassoon players.  I have been working with public education for 9 years, and I am proud to be part of the Fort Bend ISD family.
