SWE Coding & Robotics Discipline Guidelines:
We are looking for outstanding students who maintain good grades and model Explorer Values to participate in campus clubs and organizations. In addition, these students should exhibit positive leadership abilities, a good attitude, and a strong work ethic. In order to be considered and/or remain in these clubs and organizations, students must fully understand and be able to meet the following requirements:
Conduct requirements:
- You must not have excessive behavioral referrals any time during 2023–2024 and/or
2024-2025 school year. - Students will be placed on probation for a Level 1 offense. Probation will be defined as a warning where the student must speak with the sponsor of the program and assistant principal. Upon the second level 1 offense, students will be removed from the club and/or organization.
- Students with a Level 2 offense will be automatically removed from the club and/or organization.
Grade requirements:
- Students must have an overall average of 70 or above during the current school year for each subject. (C average)
- Standards must be maintained throughout the year. If a student has an average below 70 on report card, the student will be placed on probation. If a student has an average below 70, they will not participate until grade(s) are in good standing. At progress report, the student must show a grade of a 70 or above.
Attendance requirements:
- Students are allowed up to 2 unexcused absences.
- On the 3rd unexcused absence, there is removal from club unless otherwise specified by the club sponsor.
- If a student is absent from school on the day of a sponsored event, they are not allowed to participate in the event.
