Hello! My name is Camilla Nguyen, and I am on the Special Education Team as a Resource teacher. This will be my 24th year of teaching, and I am incredibly excited about getting this school year started. I taught first grade self-contained for about 10 years and then did intervention for 12 years in Alief ISD. I graduated from The University of Houston.

I was born in Vietnam and I came over to the United States with my parents and my siblings when I was 8 years old. I traveled across the ocean on a boat and faced many obstacles in order to find better opportunities for life and education. Therefore, I have always appreciated what is given to me. I am married and have 2 teenagers. Evan graduated from Hightower High School and he is currentlly attending college at Texas A&M. Hailey is currently a junior at Travis High School. 

I have always enjoyed being around kids and I want to make a connection with all of my students. My ultimate goal is to make a positive impact on each student I come to meet. I look forward to an amazing year, and I am beyond blessed to be part of the LVE family!
