Greetings! Welcome to my webpage! My name is Maria Cardenas, and I am very excited to have your child in my class. This year will be filled with many new and exciting adventures, and the growth your child makes will amaze you!

I started my career in Alief ISD, where I served for 12 years. I have taught 2nd grade and student taught in 1st. However, my passion has always been teaching Kindergarten! 

In 2014, I was honored to be named my campus' Teacher of the Year, and even more honored to be selected as a finalist for District Teacher of the Year.

 In 2017, I transferred to Fort Bend ISD to help open Leonetti, and I am more than happy to welcome you and your family to the Greatest Place to Be!
