A Professional School Counselor is available at Lakeview Elementary School to provide a Comprehensive Developmental Guidance Program and services for all students in the areas of:

• Guidance Curriculum - Help students develop competence in essential life skills
• Responsive Services - Provide intervention for immediate personal/social/emotional concerns
• Individual Planning - Provide guidance to help students plan, monitor, and manage their personal, educational and career goals, and facilitate transition activities for post-secondary education and/or training
• System Support - Support campus staff, parents, and community to promote the educational, career, personal, and social development of students, as well as the Developmental Guidance Program

My name is Julie Armiger, and I’m so excited to be your Vikings' school counselor this year! I have been with Fort Bend ISD for 23 years. For the last 14 years, I’ve served as a school counselor at Donald Leonetti Elementary and Oyster Creek Elementary.

As a counselor, I believe in supporting the whole child; socially, emotionally, and academically. My goal is to help every student feel safe, valued, and confident as they grow into kind, responsible, and resilient learners. I’m passionate about creating a welcoming space where students can share, problem-solve, and celebrate who they are.

Outside of school, I’ve been married for a really long time and am the proud mom of five children - all proud products of FBISD! In my free time, I love visiting our kids and grandkids, traveling when I can, spending time outdoors, and looking for new hobbies. Empty-nesting is hard!
