I began my career in education in 2009 when I began teaching preschool and then served in administration as director before completing my alternative certification in 2020. I am a native Texan and have lived in Houston most of my life. I graduated from Texas State University, where I met my husband, and I have one son. 

I am excited to be a part of the Lakeview Elementary family and teach 2nd grade! It is my role to create a classroom environment that encourages inquiry, so students will choose to learn. I make it a priority to build a culture of respect so all students feel comfortable and can maximize their potential.
