I am originally from Wisconsin where I grew up in a very small town. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a BSE in Elementary Education and a minor in Science. After I graduated from college, I lived and worked in Dallas as a retail specialist and trainer. In the early 1990's I had the wonderful experience of living in Paris, France. Eventually, I moved to Sugar Land, Texas, where I have been a resident for about 20 years.
I have two amazing children, two cats and a rabbit. My daughter is a 2016/2020 TCU graduate, (Go Frogs!) and my son is a 2019 graduate of UH (Go Coogs!) The rest of my family still lives up north. We try to visit there when we can, especially in the summer! Although getting to play in the snow there during winter break is pretty awesome too.
For fun, I love to read, do crafts and cook with my children, visit with friends, and watch football, especially TCU, UH, UW-Wisconsin and the Green Bay Packers.
I have been an educator in Fort Bend ISD for the past nineteen years. I am currently a second-grade teacher team leader. As a teacher, I believe that children need to believe in themselves and their capabilities in order to push themselves beyond what they think they are able to do. When given the wings of knowledge, they will soar!
