Mrs. Charity Alford
Jak se mas (“how are you” in Czech)? I am Charity Alford, your Physical Education teacher. I attended Houston Baptist University on a softball scholarship and in 2003 graduated with a B.S. in Kinesiology and Education. In 2004, I returned to Kempner HS where I began my teaching career and became a Physical Education teacher, Health teacher, JV Volleyball and Head Softball coach for 15 years. I am a former student here at LVE, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Lakeview's Legacy as the Physical Education teacher. Once a Viking…Always a Viking!
I truly believe that physical activity is an essential part of healthy living and can improve the quality of life for people of all ages. It is my goal to provide opportunities for my students to find enjoyment in physical activity by sharing my passion for lifelong fitness and movement. I will do everything within my ability to provide students with attainable goals, help them become more confident in their abilities, and build their social, emotional, psychomotor, and cognitive skills. It is my hope to provide the means for my students to fall in love with physical activity, increase their knowledge of health-related fitness, and help them find ways to be physically active in the future. I am looking forward to an amazing year!
