ESL Information

  • Welcome to the Rita Drabek ESL Program.

Our ESL program is dedicated to supporting multilingual learners as they acquire English language skills essential for academic success and full participation in school and community life. Serving students in grades PreK-5, the program provides targeted instruction in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

We recognize that every English learner brings unique strengths, cultural knowledge, and experiences to our school. Our certified ESL educators work closely with classroom teachers to create inclusive, supportive learning environments where students can thrive socially and academically.

Instruction is tailored to students’ English proficiency levels, using evidence-based strategies, culturally responsive practices, and ongoing language assessments to track progress. The ESL program also supports families through translation services, cultural events, and regular communication to foster strong home-school connections.

At the heart of our program is a commitment to equity, language development, and academic achievement for all English learners.
