My name is Lori Safieh.  I am a first grade teacher and team leader. I have taught first and second grade at Meadows Elementary for 39 years. I have taught first grade in the Houston Independent School District for 6 years.  I am a graduate from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science, Masters in Classroom and Instruction and a minor in Psychology. I am also ESL certified (English as a Secondary Language), along with a Gifted and Talented certification.

I am married to a husband who is a FBISD graduate from Dulles High School.  My 2 sons both went through ME, and graduated from Kempner High School.  

I believe that school should be a place that children enjoy and look forward to coming to every day. The excitement of learning that a child experiences, is moving and contagious. It never gets old.
