My name is Courtney Dickey, and I am honored to be the new Principal of our Mustang Family.
I believe that when we combine the small acts of all, we can transform the world. I say this because we, as a learning community, must work together to give our children every opportunity to pursue futures beyond what they can imagine. The power of education in conjunction with community is at the core of my beliefs and philosophy as an educator.
I have been an assistant principal in Fort Bend ISD since 2012, and have focused on working with teachers, students, and parents to support a positive school climate. I have served as assistant principal at Sullivan Elementary, Austin Parkway Elementary, and Hunters Glen Elementary. I have also served in the capacity of summer school principal, data specialist, and elementary teacher. I obtained a Master’s degree in Teaching and Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Arkansas and obtained a Master’s degree in Education and Administration from the University of Houston – Victoria. I am a product of the wonderful district in which we reside.
I would also love to share with you that I am a mother of a 3-year-old daughter and married to my high school sweetheart. We live here in the area and enjoy spending our extra time with our families, traveling, and rooting on our favorite sports teams!
In closing, I would like to say that words cannot begin to describe how excited I am to continue to serve the legacy of Meadows Elementary.
