Excellence Every Day is the Lion’s Way! 

This year leads into my 28^th year in education. Having been a classroom teacher, Science Specialist, GED Instructor, Assistant Principal, and Building Principal in Fort Bend ISD, I can firmly say that I consider myself to be a true advocate for students and learning. I challenge myself daily to continue to find innovative strategies and implement best practices to ensure that each student I encounter reaches his or her fullest potential. My goal is to provide educational experiences that are transformational and pertinent to the students I service. I am grateful to have been chosen and entrusted to oversee the educational path of our students here at Lexington Creek. It is an honor to continue supporting and nurturing the culture for which Lexington Creek is known. I’m proud to be an LCE Lion.

It is an honor and a privilege to be part of the LCE Pride! I look forward to continuing to serve the students, parents and staff of Lexington Creek Elementary as your Assistant Principal! Prior to joining the Lexington Creek team, I was an Instructional ELA Coach at Armstrong Elementary.  I have served many roles during my tenure in Fort Bend Independent School District; classroom teacher, Reading Recovery teacher, Elementary and Secondary Reading Specialist.

Although I am not a native Houstonian, I did marry one. Wayne and I have two grown boys. Michael is the Chef for Constellation Field in Sugar Land and Jason is a chef at Royal Oaks Country Club.  I earned my Bachelor of Science from the University of Vermont and my Master’s Degree from University of Houston, Victoria in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in reading. I enjoy baseball, traveling, reading and walking.

My goal is to establish an excellent rapport with all stakeholders in our school community, while ensuring collaboration, promoting a positive culture and maintaining a safe academic learning environment. I am committed to encouraging and the promotion of enriching educational opportunities for our diverse learners. My educational philosophy entails being a valuable leader, who has a solid commitment to consistently providing enriching opportunities for lifelong learning. I look forward to working as a team to support each stakeholder at Lexington Creek Elementary by meeting our goals and having a successful year.
