School Hours
Classes begin at 8:05 a.m.  Any student who arrives after 8:05 a.m. must be signed in by a parent and will be issued a tardy slip.  The official attendance-taking time for Lexington Creek Elementary is 10:00 a.m. each school day.  Students are expected to be in class each day at 10:00 am.  Students not present at that time will be marked absent for the entire day.  (Exception: Students not present at 10:00 a.m. due to a medical appointment will be an excused absence only with a doctor’s note.)  Dismissal is at 3:25 pm.

Arrival and Dismissal
We appreciate your help in keeping students safe by remaining in the car line upon arrival and dismissal from school. Please do not park in the back parking lot and tell your child to walk to you.  Parents in cars need to wait in the car pick-up line.  Please make sure to pay attention to traffic signs that have been placed near the school.  

Early Dismissal Days

Students are scheduled for early release at 12:10 pm on the following dates:

September 26, 2024
December 20, 2024
February 13, 2025
May 29, 2025

On these dates, the students will not go to recess, but they will eat lunch before dismissal. 

Car Loop
Our car loop can be confusing. However, if you follow these simple rules, it's a breeze.

A. Always follow the instructions of the staff members on duty in our car loop.

B. Be cautious and considerate of other drivers AND students on our school grounds.

C. Consider carpooling whenever possible to ease congestion.

Please be advised that it is a traffic violation to turn left into the main school entrance between 7:15 am - 8:15 am and at dismissal time from 3:15 pm - 4:00 pm. Please refer to our website for directions and school zone information. https://www.fortbendisd.com/Page/102833
