Greetings Lions! My name is Maria Groth. I am excited to serve the students and parents of Lexington Creek Elementary as the math resource teacher. This is my tenth year in Education and eighth year as a teacher. I am a certified special education teacher (early childhood to 12^th grade).

I graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelor's degree in business administration.  After five years of a career in business, I relocated to California, where I had the opportunity to enter the wonderful world of education. For me, teaching is a very rewarding career as I can make a positive impact on the lives of children in and beyond the classroom.

I live with my family in Sugar Land. I love traveling, outdoor activities, and learning about different cultures. I look forward to a great school year and building strong and meaningful relationships with students and their families.
